As the school holidays begin and the summer finally appears to have arrived, many families are looking at camping for a cost-effective way to holiday.
Now a leading camping website, Campsites.co.uk, has named some of the best campsites in the country in its '150 Outstanding Sites in the UK' list for 2024 – with nine in Cornwall featured.
One of them making the list is East Crinnis Holiday Park, an award-winning park located near St Austell Bay.
The website said that in the holidays guests can enjoy a range of activities for little ones, plus a takeaway, live music and quizzes.
Campers are clearly fans too, with the site gaining a 4.87 star rating on their travel listing, with 96 per cent saying they would recommend the site.
Guests continue to leave praise with comments including "The staff were all amazing and friendly with 5* customer service” and "Perfect site with great connections to everything you'd need or want”.
Two campsites achieved maximum marks - Wildflower Wood at Beersheba Farm, St Ives, and South Penquite Farm, Bodmin, which both achieved a 5/5 rating from guests.

The site achieved 4.93 /5 from 33 reviews, with 100% saying they would recommend.
Higher Bochym Caravan Motorhome and Camping Site, Mullion, Cornwall
The site received 4.97 /5 from six reviews, with 100% saying they would recommend.
Higher Trevaskis Caravan and Camping Park, Hayle, Cornwall
The site at Connor Downs achieved 4.88 /5 from 20 reviews, with 100% saying they would recommend.
South Penquite Farm, Bodmin, Cornwall
The site achieved a maximum 5 /5 from ten reviews, with 100% saying they would recommend.
Trevalgan Touring Park, St Ives, Cornwall
The site achieved a score of 4.99 /5 from 32 reviews, with 97% saying they would recommend.
