A Cornish brewery's leading lager has renewed its partnership with the Marine Conservation Society.

Korev, St Austell Brewery's flagship lager, will partner with the organisation for a fourth year, seeing Korev sponsor beach cleans across Devon and Cornwall.

The Marine Conservation Society's logo will appear on Korev cans sold in supermarkets.

For every pack of the adorned cans sold, 10p will be donated to the Marine Conservation Society.

Across the 44 St Austell Brewery pubs in the south west, 10p from each pint of Korev sold will be donated too.

Both donation schemes are set to commence at the beginning of 2025.

St Austell Brewery's new wine brand will also contribute funds, with each bottle sold of the New Zealand sauvignon blanc generating a 20p donation to the Marine Conservation Society.

The wine will be available to St Austell Wines wholesale customers from late summer, and is described as vibrant and aromatic, with notes of lime and grapefruit complemented by hints of passionfruit and gooseberry.

Laura McKay, St Austell Brewery's marketing and communications director, said: "As a business focused on sustainability and looking after the south west coastline, we’re delighted to be renewing our longstanding partnership with the Marine Conservation Society.

"We’re proud to be in a position to be able to amplify the charity’s conservation campaigns - fighting for a cleaner, healthier ocean - through alignment with the Korev brand."

Lara Ellis, corporate partnerships manager at the Marine Conservation Society, said: "Our partnership with Korev is multi-faceted, enabling us to bring our brand to customers in the south west, reaching people in supermarkets and St Austell Brewery pubs."

The Marine Conservation Society campaigns for a cleaner and better-protected ocean, tackling threats to habitats and species in collaboration with communities, businesses, and government organisations.

Among other initiatives, it organises beach cleans and fights plastic pollution, forever chemicals, and sewage, as well as lobbying government policy.

Korev is a 4.8% ABV lager originating in Cornwall and brewed in the Helles style, available in bottle and can from Morrisons, ASDA and Co-op stores.
