Cornwall’s most helpful medical receptionists have been identified.

Patients were asked to rate how helpful the receptionists were at their GP surgery, with the overall percentage then ranking each practice.

Top of the list was Quay Lane Surgery in St Germans, where 98.6 per cent of patients who completed the survey agreed that its receptionists were helpful. The full top ten can be found below.

The results come from the most GP Patient Survey, which was sent to households across Cornwall as part of a national partnership between NHS England and Ipsos.

It asked a series of questions, from overall experience to ease of contact.

In total around 2.56 million questionnaires were sent out nationally to patients aged 16 or over and registered with GP practices in England, from January 2 to March 25, 2024.

Some 699,790 patients completed and returned a questionnaire, resulting in a national response rate of 27.3%.
