After a five year absence Porthleven Lifeboat Day returned on Sunday to huge support.
Thousands of people joined in the festivities at the Harbour Head and along Harbour Road and Breageside.
With stalls, family activities, face painting and mermaids there was something for all ages to enjoy.
A number of community groups and charities had stalls, including Porthleven WI, Porthleven Companions - who were also encouraging more people to sign up to help fundraising or driving members – and the RNLI itself.
There was also plenty of live music, including from Porthleven Town Band, Off The Hook, the Cadgwith Singers, Culdrose Military Wives Choir, Bryher's Boys and Dylan Josh, who performed outside the Ship Inn and opposite Nauti But Ice.
The Atlantic Inn held a crockery smash and barbecue.
Out in the harbour there was a demonstration from Porthleven Pilot Gig Club and Penlee Lifeboat’s inshore lifeboat.
The all-weather lifeboat was unable to attend as some had hoped, due to the Severn class lifeboat remaining operational for service calls only while it undergoes maintenance repairs.
The traditional water fight in the harbour also took place with much hilarity.
Fun continued into the evening with more live music at the port’s pubs.
