Police are hunting two armed robbers who threatened a cashier with a knife before stealing a load of vapes from behind the counter.

The two men went into a store on Alexandra Road in St Austell at around 1.30pm on Sunday August 4 and threatened the cashier with a knife before demanding money.

The cashier went to get help and the two men got behind the till and stole multiple vapes before leaving and heading in the direction of the train station.

Police have issued a picture of two men they want to speak to in connection with the robbery.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “ We are appealing for the public’s help identifying the two males pictured in connection with a robbery in St Austell.

“Officers were called at around 1.30pm on Sunday 4 August to a commercial premises on Alexandra Road where it was reported that two males had entered a store and made threats with a knife to a cashier demanding money.

“While the cashier went to get assistance, they went behind the till and stole multiple vapes before leaving the store and heading in the direction of the train station.

“Officers would like to speak to the two males pictured as it is believed they may be able to help with their enquiries.”
