A Cornwall venue with "stunning panoramic sea views" has been nominated in a category at the 2024 AA Hospitality Awards.
The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow was shortlisted in the Food Service Award section alongside Maison François in London and Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa in Wiltshire.
Discussing this section the AA stated: "Celebrating restaurants that excel in service and hospitality, the AA Food Service Award honours those who provide impeccable technical service and possess top-tier food and beverage expertise."
Spanning 17 categories the awards recognise "the finest hotels, restaurants, spas, and their dedicated teams nationwide".
Winners will be announced at a ceremony at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London, on Monday, September 23.
The Seafood Restaurant was the only Cornwall establishment shortlisted, with the full list of nominees available to see on the website here.
How is The Seafood Restaurant rated by the AA overall?
The eatery was opened by Rick and Jill Stein in 1975 and is described as their "flagship seafood restaurant" on their website.
Alongside that, it offers "16 stunning guest rooms" which have "coastal-inspired" decor.
On its AA profile, The Seafood Restaurant is rated a 5/5 and also already received some awards this year, including a triple rosette for culinary excellence.
The official review from their inspector reads: "The Seafood Restaurant has now been here over 50, years led by the Stein family, well into the 2nd generation but still under Rick's watchful eye.
"Seafood lovers beat a well-trodden pilgrimage here to enjoy the freshest produce handled very simply.
"Situated on the edge of the harbour, just a stone's throw from the shops, it also offers chic and comfortable bedrooms that have their own toiletries, luxurious beds and a host of homely comforts.
"Some have views of the estuary and a couple have private balconies with stunning panoramic sea views. Service is relaxed and friendly, and booking is essential."
On Tripadvisor, The Seafood Restaurants has an impressive 4.5/5 score from 6,731 reviews.
One person wrote: "Nothing was too much trouble, the service was impeccable and everyone welcomed you with a smile. The food was truly out of this world and very generous too.

"We had breakfast (stayed at St Edmunds just behind) and had dinner one evening - just an all round delicious experience- thank you all".
