A Falmouth care home resident's dream to return to the seaside has been realised.
Selina Radford, a resident at Falmouth Court Care Home, wanted the chance to paddle in the sea again, something she enjoyed in her youth.
This wish was granted by the staff, proving it's never too late.
Ms Radford has lived at Falmouth Court for 21 months and is cherished by both staff and residents.
Haley Reeve-Larson, general manager of the care home, made arrangements for the outing.
She accompanied the sea-loving resident, along with activities coordinator, Chloe Collins, to Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth.
Taking advantage of the good weather, they all went for a dip.
Ms Radford was ecstatic to feel the sand under her feet and enjoyed her paddle.
She said: "It was wonderful to have an afternoon out with the girls and dip my toes in the ocean once again."
Haley Reeve-Larson, general manager at the home, added: "We believe that every moment is worth cherishing.
"We want everyone we care for to know how important they are to us here at Falmouth Court.
"It is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team here in making our residents’ dreams come true.
"It was wonderful to see how happy Selina was and the team loved being a part of this as well."
