Newquay Harbour Festival is set to return this summer for its third year.
The beloved celebration of community spirit and local enterprise will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
It is a product of teamwork between The Boathouse, Newquay BID, Cornwall Shop Small, and Newquay Farmers Market.
The festival's ethos is to consolidate and revel in the distinct charm of Newquay's harbour.
It aims to celebrate local talent and produce, enriching the town's identity.
A day packed with fun activities for families is an invitation to all.
The Boathouse is preparing an impressive list of events for the day and anticipates a varied crowd.
Starting with a Harbour Rockpool Ramble conducted by Mr FT and a beach clean organised by Sharp’s Brewery, the festival will then segue into the gastronomy section.
Cooking demonstrations by expert Cornish chefs are expected to attract many food enthusiasts.
The chefs will focus on creating a delectable array of dishes, those of which are rooted in the use of local seafood.
Evening festivities comprise of engaging gin flavouring sessions and a wine tasting experience aimed to cater to the beverage admirers.
Close to a full day of activities, the festival will also host live music, featuring an array of local bands such as The Clams and Newquay Rowing Club Singers, amongst others.
The Harbour Rats Shanty Band will also make an appearance, being a new addition to the musical line-up.
As twilight descends, a jazz trio will perform adding a smooth finish to the day with a choice of street food and cocktails on offer.
