From jellyfish to superheroes, Falmouth Carnival was a vibrant parade of colourful costumes and community spirit on Saturday night.

The parade went down through Killigrew Street, The Moor, Webber Street, Market Street, Church street, Arewenack Street.

All money collected by the Falmouth Marine Band is distributed back to local causes under ballot by its members.

Falmouth Art Gallery was one group to make its way through Falmouth with a giant centipede crafted by Sam Bradbury Art.

Other participants included WAD, a Kernow based Morris side and performance collective, representatives for the charity Jozef’s Dream, set up in memory of Jozef Stasiak, The Gylly Wellbeing Swimmers and some fine individual entries.

Posting on Facebook, Falmouth Marine Band Cornwall said it wanted to extend its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in the marching parade and lined the streets to show their support.
