Buzy Bees, a Pre-School in Treleigh, Redruth, gave a celebration evening to honour major milestones.

Sue Johnson and Sue De Seta, commemorated their 30 and 25 years of service respectively during a grand event at Mount Ambrose's Cricket Club.

The celebration also marked the 30th anniversary of the preschool in the community.

Buzy Bees has come a long way since its start in a small Church Hall on November 18, 1994, with only four children and a lot of enthusiasm.

Now, it provides educational provision for kids ranging from two to 4.5 years while giving invaluable support to families throughout the community.

The preschool owes its success to a loyal team of parents and a dedicated team of staff that includes Ms Johnson, the manager, who has been part of the organisation since it was formed, and Ms De Seta, the deputy manager, who joined in 1998.

The pre-school, commonly referred to as "The Hive", underwent a significant transformation in 1998 when it refurbished an old Elliot hut, transforming it into a warm, dry and welcoming facility.

However, the building began showing signs of deterioration and had to be replaced after 13 years.

Through Capital Grant Funding, the team was able to replace the Elliot building with a bespoke preschool room in Easter 2011.

The Hive, following its refurbishment, currently operates in full swing.
