Falmouth Week has wrapped up after another successful year.

The town's biggest summer festival began on Friday, August 9 and offered locals and visitors a vibrant blend of sailing, live entertainment, and family-friendly attractions.

At the heart of Falmouth Week was its sailing regattas, one of the largest events in the South West. Participants took to the water in different types of boats, from traditional working boats to sleek-racing yachts, for an exhilarating display of skill and strategy.

The ten-day festival kicked off with thousands of participants wearing pink wigs marching through the streets of Falmouth to raise awareness of and funds for breast cancer. You can read more about this here: 20 pictures from a 'Freaky Friday' Pink Wig Parade through Falmouth

Music acts from Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show, Shaun Ryder’s Black Grape and AC/DC UK performed throughout the week.

As well as this, activities and events took place throughout the festival for all ages.

The highlight of the week for many was the free air show which saw three display teams take to the skies over Falmouth Bay. The air show attracted thousands of people, with many sharing footage on social media.

Another firm favourite of Falmouth Week for many was the Fireworks Spectacular on Friday, August 16. The skies lit up over Trefusis Head, with plenty of people watching along Falmouth Harbour, Event’s Square, Custom House Quay, Prince of Wales Pier and the Docks Lookout Point.
