Falmouth School is bursting with pride as its Year 11 students celebrate exceptional GCSE and vocational qualification results.
Today marks a culmination of hard work, dedication, and perseverance from both students and staff, as they celebrate a very successful GCSE results day.

The success of the Year 11 cohort is evident in the impressive statistics:
25.8% of all Level 2 qualifications were attained in Grades 9-7.
51.8% of students achieved Grade 5 or higher in both English and Maths.
62.7% of students achieved five standard GCSE passes (Grade 4 or above), surpassing the national average.
47.6% of students secured five strong passes (Grade 5 or above), also exceeding the national average.
Falmouth School students outperformed the national average in every standard national measure related to attainment.
Notable Student Achievements:
Several students stood out with particularly impressive achievements:
Ben: Awarded seven Grade 9s in Science, English Language, French, History, Maths, and Spanish, along with a Distinction* in Sport and a Grade 8 in English Literature.
Megan: Celebrated five Grade 9s in Art, Chemistry, Maths, English Literature, and History, alongside four Grade 8s in Biology, English Language, Physics, and Spanish, and a Grade 7 in Additional Maths.
Toby: Earned three Grade 9s in Science and Maths; two Distinction* grades in BTEC Engineering and Sport; Grade 8s in English Language and English Literature; and Grade 7s in Art and Geography.
Iona: Accomplished two Grade 9s in Geography and History, a Distinction* in Sport, and five Grade 8s in Art, Science, English Language and Literature, with a Grade 6 in Maths.

The excitement of Results Day was welcomed by students and parents alike expressing their joy and pride.
One parent shared, "My daughter's face said it all—a huge smile of disbelief, but she excelled in every grade. We're so proud of her!"
Ella, a student, beamed: "I put in so much hard work, commitment, and dedication for these exams. It's fantastic to see that the results reflect that effort and that all the hard work has paid off. Thank you to Falmouth School for their time, input, and resources leading up to the exams. Now, onto college and A-levels!"
Lorna simply expressed her happiness with a heartfelt, "I am very, very happy."

Staff members echoed their sentiments of pride and joy.
Lauren Miller (Year 11 Learning Leader) said: "GCSE Results Day marks a tremendous milestone in the lives of our students and today is no exception.
"It is always a pleasure to be with our students to witness their reactions to the hours and hours of learning and revision they accomplished when they finally open their envelope.
"We are extremely proud of everyone and all that they have achieved and we wish them well for the future.”
Mrs Lenka Chanter, Headteacher of Falmouth School, commented: "I have been extremely impressed with the student's engagement with learning throughout the year, including the exam season.
"Their enthusiasm and dedication have been recognised, valued and supported with a systematic approach to the exam preparations through the Family Learning initiatives. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together this academic year.
"The close support from our students’ families throughout has been crucial in all our mutual collaboration. Thank you to all the parents and carers for working with us.
