Flying Gulls Nursery on the Lizard Peninsula has been awarded a 'Good' rating by Ofsted.
It comes after the nursery, which is located at Ruan Minor Village Hall, was visited by inspectors on July 19.
Flying Gulls Nursery, which inspectors said provides a caring and educational environment, welcomes up to 16 children ranging between the ages of one to ten.
Inspectors found that children are nurtured by "warm and dedicated" staff who create a "safe and secure environment" where children flourish and show confidence.
The care providers at Flying Gulls have high expectations for every child, focusing on promoting independence through daily tasks such as hanging up their bags on arrival.
There were also positive remarks about the learning program of the nursery.
Ofsted also found that staff carefully plan a curriculum that develops children's physical skills and promotes active play.
Additional training in sign language taken by the staff was highlighted as particularly effective in supporting the communication skills of younger children and children with speech and language delays.
Nevertheless, the Ofsted report also pointed out areas that require improvements.
Inspectors found that while staff successfully implemented a relevant mathematical curriculum, they did not consistently encourage children to count accurately or develop a sound understanding of numbers.
Furthermore, inspectors suggested that whole group times could be better organised to keep all children, especially the younger ones, purposefully engaged in learning.
However, the caring ethos and commitment of the nursery did not go unnoticed.
The report explains that the team at Flying Gulls works closely with parents and other professionals to support children's learning and developmental needs.
Parents appreciated the staff's efforts to involve them in their child's learning, and they felt well-informed about their child's progress.
In their conclusion, Ofsted praised the "open and positive culture around safeguarding" at Flying Gulls, stating this approach invariably put children's interests first.
The report was finalised with the assurance that all safeguarding arrangements were effective.
The nursery, under new management since 2022, is privately owned and is one of two in the group.
It offers care on Mondays to Wednesdays from 8am to 4.30pm, and on Fri.days from 8am to 3pm, term time only.
