A major lifestyle brand has chosen St Ives for its largest store to date, marking a significant retail development in the town.

Animal has now opened in St Ives, Cornwall marking the brand's standalone location in the Duchy. 

Located on Fore Street, the spacious 2,525 square-foot store spans two floors, showcasing some of Animal’s bestselling collections for women, men and children.

Shoppers can browse through the brand’s signature flip flops, slogan t-shirts, and hoodies, along with a diverse selection of new and exclusive products for the upcoming autumn/winter season.

Animal’s products, which are also available in selected Mountain Warehouse stores, can also be purchased online at animal.co.uk.

The opening of the new store has injected a boost into the local community, creating five new jobs.

This new store will join other popular surf and lifestyle brands in St Ives including Fat Willy’s Surf Shack and Saltrock and a range of others.

For more than 30 years, Animal has become one of the UK's leading lifestyle clothing brands.

According to its website, “Animal began in 1987 in the south west, when two surfers designed its first product.

“Its brainchild, the ‘Hook and Loop’ watch strap, quickly gained recognition within the surfing and action sports community due to its rugged and functional nature. It was here that the Animal name was born, and an iconic adventure began.”
