The summer of 1975 was a very busy one in Falmouth.

In this week’s Step Back in Time, we are transported back to celebrations including Falmouth Carnival, a Golden Wedding Anniversary, a darts championship and a new baby donkey born at Budock Hospital.

In July 1975 Falmouth Carnival made its way through the streets watched on by spectators.

The carnival remains one of the highlights of Falmouth Week.

Also in 1975, Mr and Mrs Nolsworthy of Grove Hill celebrated 50 years of love and commitment on their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

The summer also brought triumph to the local ladies' darts team who were crowned champions.

Over at Budock Hotel this year, a little donkey was born as part of the Trelawney Project, an initiative that brought animals to interact with patients.

However, it wasn’t all smiles and happiness for a youth club in Falmouth which had a spot of bother with damp.
