A brand-new classic car event is coming to Cornwall next month in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
The Healeys Classic Car Rally, open to all types of classic cars, will celebrate the automotive legacy of Cornishman Donald Healey.
It will take place on Saturday, September 28, starting from Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm in Penhallow.
Car enthusiasts are invited to join members of the Healey family for a day of heritage and horsepower, with all profits going to the national cancer charity.
The rally will pass through significant locations tied to Cornish icon Donald Healey, including his birthplace, scenic coastal roads, and Trebah Gardens, his former home where participants will enjoy a Cornish cream tea.
The event will conclude back at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, with tours of the multi-award-winning visitor centre and cyder press.
David Healey, Healeys founder and chairman, said: "We are thrilled to launch the first-ever Healeys Classic Car Rally in Cornwall and to help raise awareness of such a worthwhile charity.
"This event is not just a celebration of our family’s automotive heritage but also a way to bring together classic car enthusiasts from all over, to share in the beauty of Cornwall and the joy of classic motoring."
Prostate Cancer UK plays a crucial role in supporting those affected by prostate cancer, raising awareness, funding research, campaigning for change, and providing support.
The day's itinerary includes a start with coffee and pastries at 9am, the rally beginning at 10am, a press photo call at St Michael’s Mount at 11am, and the cream tea at Trebah Gardens at 12.30pm.
The return to Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm for the finish line and awards ceremony is at 1.30pm, followed by afternoon access passes to the Cyder Farm at 2pm.
Registration for the rally is £50 per driver, with additional passengers £25 each.
Early registration is encouraged as limited spots are available.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three best in show, featuring limited-edition products like Hicks and Healeys Whiskey, Healeys Brandy, and Tresor Classic Cuvee.
To book a place on the rally, interested participants can email bookings@healeyscyder.co.uk or call 01872 573 356.
