Hotel Meudon hosted a garden BBQ and a dog competition to celebrate Dog Appreciation Day, all while raising money for animals in need.
The event took place on Sunday, August 25, with four-legged contestants of all shapes and sizes vying for the attention of the judges, slightly distracted by the tasty food being served.
It featured stalls selling doggie accessories, and garden games, with all proceeds from the entry fees going to Falmouth's pet food bank, Pawsitive Pets, and Bob's Dogs charity.
An impressive total of £310 was raised.
The light-hearted dog show featured categories such as the waggiest tail, best biscuit eater, fluffiest dog, hidden talent, and the judges' favourite.
Suzannah Sharkey, front of house manager, said: "This is the first time that we’ve run such an event, but it was such a hit I think it will have to become an annual fixture.
"We love having doggie guests and it was a great excuse to open the gardens, fire up the BBQ and celebrate our canine companions, all in a good cause."
Hotel Meudon general manager, Abi Picken, added: "It was great to partner with Nicola and be able to assist in helping her with the brilliant work she does for the local community.
"It was a fun fuelled day enjoyed by all who attended.
"We look forward to working alongside Nicola and Pawsitive Pets in the future."
