This Cornish inn is described as a “historic landmark” by SBC. It is located on the main A39 Atlantic Highway close to Wadebridge.

It boasts a "unique traditional style" dining area suitable for 60 plus covers, as well as outside trading for 30 plus covers. As well as this, there is parking for around 30 vehicles and a five-bedroom accommodation for the owner.

The Red Lion Inn is up for sale for £450,000 for the freehold.

Slades House Country Inn, Sladesbridge, Wadebridge

This Grade II-listed free house restaurant was constructed in the 17th Century and was once owned by the Pencarrow Estate. SBC describe the pub as one of “Cornwall’s leading destination pubs.” This is the first time in more than 80 years that this pub has gone up for sale.

The inside of the pub welcomes a traditional style bar/restaurant area, with log burners, bean ceilings and a carvery set up for more than 100 covers.

There is also an abundance of accommodation which includes five rooms – a potential for renting out.

Outside includes a private garden area, equipped with picnic bench table seats, and an extensive parking area for 75-plus cars.

With a central village location and two bar areas, the Radjel Inn is an opportunity for someone starting out in the hospitality industry.

The Turks Head, The Quay, St Agnes, Isles of Scilly

Not technically on the mainland, but still part of the Duchy of Cornwall, the Turks Head is described as “outstanding” by SBC and is another pub in an idyllic location.

Based on the water, the Turks Head boasts "picturesque" views towards Tresco, St Martins, St Marys and the Island of Gugh.

It has recently been refurbished and offers a traditional style bar and restaurant areas for around 60 covers.

Outside, there are panoramic views that can accommodate extra covers.

The Turks Head is on the market for £795,000 for the business, with the rent at £18,500 per annum.

The Old Inn is up for sale for the first time in 25 years and is described as an “extremely well-established pub” by SBC.

The classic bar and restaurant are designed in a traditional style, with open fires, beamed ceilings, and a carvery set-up that can accommodate around 350 diners.

Both indoors and outdoors feature balcony seating and a sheltered beer garden. There is also a large car park suitable for up to 20 cars.  

Having already built an exceptional reputation for private events and family occasions, SBC said there “are more opportunities to expand and attract more business.”
