Expert in dog law Trevor Cooper is set to hold his first ever seminar in Cornwall.
The renowned solicitor will be sharing his expertise at the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) in Hayle on October 13.
This is a significant event for the centre, as Mr Cooper is highly regarded in the dog world for his knowledge and advice on legal matters.
The NAWT is proud to host his first visit to Cornwall.
The seminar, which is popular within the industry, will cover a wide range of legal issues that are important to dog owners and professionals involved in dogs.
Topics likely to be discussed include stray dogs, microchipping, collar and tag regulations, dangerous dogs, breed specific legislation, public spaces protection orders, community protection notices, noise nuisance, duty of care, cruelty, buying and selling dogs, ownership disputes, and civil liability for the actions of your dog.
Tickets for the seminar are priced at £20 each, with a portion of the proceeds going to the National Animal Welfare Trust to support their rescue and rehoming efforts.
Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.doglawsos.co.uk/doglaw-seminars/ and selecting the Cornwall event on October 13.
Mr Cooper has been acting for dog owners for 29 years and was awarded the Phyllis Mayer Argus Medal by Dogs Trust "in recognition of long and distinguished service on behalf of dogs."
He was also awarded the Lesley Scott-Ordish Memorial Award by PRO-Dogs for having made "an outstanding contribution to the world of dogs."
He currently runs Cooper & Co Solicitors, which has recently celebrated its silver jubilee.
Mr Cooper has previously been a principal solicitor with the Environment Agency prosecuting cases in the North East, the dog law specialist for Dogs Trust, and is currently the dog law consultant to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
He is frequently in demand for media appearances and regularly gives seminars to professionals and dog clubs all over the country.
The NAWT said: "The law in the animal world is tricky, and Trevor is here to give us the facts and knowledge on this invaluable subject.
"Our pets are our world after all."
