Falmouth was well represented at this year's Gorsedh Kernow Awards ceremony.
The coveted event took place in Callington on Friday, September 6.
Dean Evans received a prestigious Awen Medal from the Grand Bard, Pol Hodge, for his efforts in organising the 200th-anniversary celebrations of Cornish philanthropist Passmore Edwards.
The Shallal Dance Theatre also received a medal for their contributions, which included giant puppets of Mr and Mrs Edwards.
The award was accepted by Jo Willis, the artistic director at Shallal.
The Grand Bard’s Award went to local singer-songwriter Will Keating for promoting Cornish music and his work with Cornish schools.
Cornish language teacher Polin Prys, who has taught the language to pupils in London and Falmouth for many years, received the London Cornish Shield.
The awards ceremony was part of the Esedhvos Festival of Cornish Culture, which culminated in the assembly of Bards on Saturday, September 7.
