The finalists for the 23rd annual Cornwall Tourism Awards have been announced.

A total of 60 finalists have been selected following three months of judging, and they will find out on Thursday, November 7 whether they have won gold, silver, or bronze awards.

There will also be 11 commended awards and two special awards presented during an awards ceremony in Truro Cathedral.

The competition has undergone changes in categories and criteria each year to reflect innovation and reinvention in the tourism industry.

This year's awards particularly considered the entrants' commitment to accessibility and inclusion, mental health, environment, and community.

Gold winners will then be nominated to represent Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in the national Visit England Awards in 2025.

Natalie Semley, chair of judging and senior lecturer in sustainable tourism management at Falmouth University, said: "The Cornwall entrants have once again raised the bar by delivering excellence, creating an inclusive and accessible experience for visitors, and reinforcing Cornwall’s commitment to sustainability – by allowing places to thrive, and communities to be activated through their individual and collective actions."

Robin Barker, awards organiser from Services for Tourism, added: "I am blown away by the resilience of these businesses, not just continuing to operate in these difficult times but continuing to excel, invest and innovate."

The award categories this year include dog-friendly establishments, new tourism businesses, accessible and inclusive tourism, and many more.

A Winner of Winners title and special Outstanding Contribution to Tourism award will also be presented at the event.

The finalists in four categories will be announced at the ceremony.
