The Lost Gardens of Heligan is set to become a feast for the senses with its annual harvest celebration.

Running from October 19 to November 3, organisers are promising a full sensory immersion, allowing visitors to pull on their wellies, wrap up and embrace nature.

The whole family can celebrate the season while saying a fond farewell to the summer months.

Visitors can explore the bounty of the estate, from the Kitchen Garden to the fields and woodland, savouring the smells, sights, and tastes while discovering all that Heligan grows, nurtures, and harvests.

October half-term will see the return of traditional activities such as corn dolly workshops and apple pressing, offering children and adults the chance to be hands-on with harvest projects.

The full harvest programme will also include a heritage produce display, showcasing the vibrant autumn colours of Heligan.

For those wanting the full culinary experience and a chance to connect with the season, a series of Lost Suppers are on offer.

This includes a unique collaboration with The Pig on October 11, where Heligan’s chef Alex Martin will join forces with Tom Holloway, head chef at The Pig-at Harlyn Bay.

A harvest-themed Lost Supper will also be hosted on October 25, offering another opportunity to savour the flavours of autumn.

As Halloween approaches, visitors can discover Heligan’s spooky family trail, with storytelling about Cornish witch folklore, finishing at the fire pit for a warming toasted marshmallow.

Heligan’s Barn will host potion-making workshops and wand-making crafts, with the Screech Owl Sanctuary on hand for a chance to meet these magnificent birds.

The gardens are open daily from 10am to 5pm, with the last ticket entry from 3.30pm.
