An independent business based in the heart of Porthleven for the past decade has expanded its offerings with a move to larger premises.
Wool and craft shop Pisky Cove has now set up in its new home on Wheal Parade, Praa Sands where it will offer workshops as well as its usual knitting and crocheting group.
The move was well supported by Pisky customers and members of staff.
With Pisky having already been involved in knitting for the Longest Yarn D Day Project, it is hoped that the community will enjoy the opportunity to share the extra room and learn new skills whilst meeting and enjoying time with their friends and neighbours.
The Longest Yarn D-Day Project is an initiative which involves knitters creating 80 historic scenes from D-Day in 1944.
Customers are welcome to park for free at the new site, while people catching the bus can expect to be dropped right outside the shop.
Cayte Walker-gibbons, owner of Pisky Cove Praa Sands said: “Wheal Parade is set to become a vibrant crafting hub with spinning, weaving and crafting available for all levels of skill.”
Cayte also shared her gratitude to the community for helping to build the business over the past ten years, and the move to Praa Sands.
“Without their help, we could not have managed it.
“The community built the shop with its support; they helped move it in two days!! So now we hope they will take the time to relax and enjoy it with us!”
