A "charming" Cornwall Parkrun route with "stunning views" has been named among the most beautiful in the UK.

The Mount Edgcumbe Parkrun was featured in a list from Countryfile alongside nine other routes.

Parkrun is a free community event where people can walk, jog or run 5k, with there being routes all over the UK.

On Parkrun's website, it adds: "Parkrun is positive, welcoming and inclusive, there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along."

Discussing creating the list of the most beautiful Parkrun routes, Countryfile wrote: "No matter where you are in the UK, the chances are there will be a Parkrun nearby.

"This means you can take part in one not only in your local area but when you're on holiday, too."

The full list of the most beautiful Parkun routes can be seen on the Countryfile website here.
