Police are investigating an unexplained death after a body of a woman was found in the St Cleer area today (Thursday, October 10).
The police have said that the death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
Formal identification is due to take place, but the family of Anne Stacey, 70 who was reported missing from St Cleer on Thursday, October 3 have been made aware of the discovery.
Anne was last seen at her home in St Cleer, Liskeard on Friday, September 27. However, police said that her movements following were not known.
On Monday (October 7) the place shared an updated image of Anne which was taken from CCTV in Liskeard which she visited two days before her being reported as missing.
Today, a statement from Devon and Cornwall Police said: “The body of a woman has been located in the St Cleer area today, Thursday 10 October.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
“Formal identification is due to take place.
“The family of Anne Stacey, 79, from St Cleer, who was reported missing on Thursday 3 October, have been made aware.”
