Tributes have been paid for a young woman who lost her life in a crash in Mullion on Monday morning.

According to reports on social media, and named by family and friends, Sian Goffin died after a collision with a Mullion School bus on Meaver Road.

She was taken to hospital but sadly passed away. 

Posts have been shared for Sian, a mother of two, by her friends and family.

One post said: “It’s with a heavy heart that I have to tell you all that Sian Goffin has passed away following the horrific accident on Monday morning.

“She will be very much missed by all of us who loved her.

“Sleep tight sweetpea, and I will see you on the other side.”

Another post shared by Sian’s best friend said: “It’s been a devastating last few days, but now you’re finally at peace.

“To my best friend and partner in crime. I love you beyond words and more than you’ll ever know.

“31 years old is no age, but my angel you have grown your wings, and you are with your mum now.

“I am honoured to of spent the time we have together, I will treasure them forever.”

The Packet reported on Monday, that police were called to Meaver Road, Mullion at around 8.40 to reports of a collision involving a silver Vauxhall Astra and a double-decker school bus.

As a result of the collision, the two occupants of the Vauxhall – a female in her thirties and a young male child – sustained life-threatening injuries.

They were taken to hospital and their next of kin was made aware.

Police said that 27 pupils on the school bus at the time of the collision sustained minor injuries and required treatment.
