Police have confirmed that a woman in her 30s has died following a collision with a school bus in Mullion on Monday.
The Packet reported that officers were called to Meaver Road at around 8.40am to reports of the collision involving a silver Vauxhall Astra and a double-decker Mullion School bus.
As a result of the collision, the two occupants of the Vauxhall - a local woman in her 30s and a young male child - sustained life-threatening injuries.
Sadly, the woman has died in hospital. She has been named on social media by family and friends as Sian Goffin.

The child remains at Bristol Children's Hospital in a serious life-threatening condition.
Twenty-seven children on the school bus sustained minor injuries and one child from the bus sustained serious injuries but these were not life-threatening.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst investigations took place.
Sergeant Phil Brown from the Serious Collisions Investigation Team said: “We are working in conjunction with the school and our partners to ensure everybody receives the support they need following this tragic incident.
“Our thoughts continue to be with everybody involved.”
