A Redruth-based embedded software company has been named as a finalist at this year's Tech South West Awards.
Bluefruit Software is in the running for the Commitment to Talent Award at the event.
The Tech South West Awards are designed to celebrate the region's most successful and innovative technology companies.
The Commitment to Talent Award recognises companies that significantly invest in the development, nurturing, and retention of tech industry talent.
Founder and director of Bluefruit, Paul Massey, said: "We are really pleased to be shortlisted for this award.
"Our commitment to developing tech talent has been at the heart of the business from the very beginning.
"We provide our teams with whatever they need to harness their potential – be it equipment, training experience, or the opportunity to take on new challenges.
"This award nomination validates our efforts to create opportunities for individuals in Cornwall and contribute to the growth of the South West's exciting tech ecosystem."
Bluefruit Software's strategy for fostering talent includes an inclusive recruitment process that welcomes applications from individuals without prior tech experience.
It also offers extensive training and development opportunities, including the allocation of 10 per cent of work time for personal development.
Each employee has access to an annual £1,000 personal training budget.
The company promotes a culture of continuous learning and career progression.
Beyond the office, Bluefruit employees frequently attend events at local schools and colleges to talk to students about careers in tech.
They also provide work experience placements for those interested.
The Tech South West Awards, now in their sixth year, celebrate the best in tech from across the South West of England.
The winners will be announced on November 28 at a ceremony at Ashton Gate, Bristol.
