Heartbroken relatives of the partner of a woman who died in a tragic collision last week, which also caused the death of the couple's one-year-old son, have set up a GoFundMe page.

The man’s cousins Amelia and Ewan Bawden have set up the GoFundMe page to raise money for him and his young son, who they have asked us not to name.

They said they wanted to come together as a family to support him and his young son.

The appeal follows the deaths of the young mum and her baby on October 14 after the car she was driving was in collision with a school bus in Mullion.

On the GoFundMe page, Amelia posted they are "heartbroken" by an "unimaginable tragedy".

“We are heartbroken to share that our cousin, has faced an unimaginable tragedy. He lost his baby son, and his partner. As he navigates this profound loss, we want to come together as a family to support him.

“In addition to this devastating loss, our cousin has a young son, who is also grieving the loss of his mummy and little brother.

“While we are painfully aware that we cannot mend this pain, we would like to offer all we can to relieve any unnecessary stress for their family.

“With this in mind, our goal is to raise funds to ease their burden and make life a little bit easier as they try to process their loss.”

They said the financial strain from funeral expenses and everyday needs was overwhelming.

So far the fundraiser which can be found at www.gofundme.com/f/support-our-cousin-during-this-heartbreaking-time has raised £800 of a £2,000 target.

“Your generous contributions will help support the family during this incredibly difficult time, allowing them to focus on healing and remembering their loved ones and the precious memories they have together.

“Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful impact. No parent or child should ever experience this pain at any point in their lives, and as a family, our hearts are broken.”

The GoFundMe page comes after the accident in Mullion when a car driven by the mother with her one-year-old son inside collided with a school bus.

Sadly, both mother and son died later in the hospital while 27 children were injured, one seriously, in the school bus.
