Falmouth Primary Academy has a new headteacher at the helm, and she's no stranger to the school's halls.

Hannah Stevens, who attended the school herself as a child, has returned to her roots, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for her community.

"I came to school here when I was a child when it was the infants and junior school," Hannah told the Packet. "I started at the school and went through to year 6.”

After secondary school and college, Hannah attended a university in Wales.

Her appointment has been met with excitement and enthusiasm, particularly from her new deputy, Rachel Marsh, who said: "Some of the teachers who inspired Hannah when she was younger, I taught with when I first started working here. It’s great to see her now as the headteacher."

This acronym is a nod to the nearby Fal River and captures the school’s commitment to empowering students to achieve their full potential.

This vision aims to inspire students to pursue their dreams and understand that their potential is boundless.

"The world is their oyster," Hannah said emphasising the school's commitment to empowering students to embrace their futures with confidence.

Rachel Marsh, the Deputy Head, added: "We want our children to be the best that they can be academically, but we also want a really holistic approach. We're an inclusive and diverse community where we celebrate everyone's uniqueness."

The school's commitment to a holistic education extends beyond academics. "We provide a really good personal development programme for our children with enrichment," Hannah explained.

"We go on lots of trips, utilise our local area, and engage with parents and members of the community."

Hannah and Rachel are thrilled to be part of a dedicated staff team that is passionate about their students' success.

“We have walked into a really high-performing, well-established, and experienced staff team who are really well placed to meet the children's needs," Hannah said.
