Each year, towns and villages across the Duchy celebrate Bonfire Night with spectacular firework displays and events – and this year is no exception.
Over the next week or so, and on Bonfire Night itself, there will be several displays taking place – weather depending of course.
Bonfire Night is an ideal time to gather with your loved ones, wrap up warm and watch the displays safely from down below.
Here are some of the Bonfire Night celebrations taking place across Cornwall this year:
Helston and Surrounding Areas:
Flambards Theme Park, Helston (October 30):
Experience the thrill of rides and attractions before witnessing a dazzling fireworks display at 7pm. Admissions close at 6pm, so arrive early.
The Lizard Fireworks Extravaganza, The Lizard (November 1):
Join the festivities at the Lizard Recreation Ground from 5.30pm, with a spectacular firework display by an award-winning company lighting up the sky at 7pm. Enjoy hot food, drinks, and the lively atmosphere of the local pub.
The Three Tuns, St Keverne (November 2):
Enjoy live music from Go Go Skank, followed by a vibrant fireworks display above the pub at 7pm.
Ruan Minor Recreation Ground, Ruan Minor (November 9):
Prepare for "the most spectacular firework displays for miles around!" as said by organisers. Enjoy a barbecue, tea, coffee, and mulled wine, all while witnessing this breathtaking spectacle.
Entry: £5 for adults, £2 for children under 16. Glow sticks are available for purchase.
Truro and Falmouth:
Falmouth Cricket Club, Trescobeas Road (November 5):
Join Falmouth Firefighters Social and Welfare Club and Falmouth Cricket Club for a fireworks display at Falmouth Cricket Ground. Gates open at 6pm, with the show starting at 7pm.
Tregony Fireworks, Tregony Playing Field (November 5):
Enjoy a bonfire, Guy Fawkes judging, and a professional firework display at 7pm, followed by live music by The Zealots in the clubhouse. Entry: £5 for adults, £3 for children, free for children under 5.
Chacewater Village Hall, Chacewater (November 5):
Prepare for a bigger and better fireworks display than ever before. Gates open at 5.30pm, fireworks at 7pm. Cash only. Entry: £3 for adults, £2 for children.
Tremorvah Playing Field, Truro (November 5):
Hosted by Truro City Council, this event features a bonfire lit at 6.30pm followed by fireworks at 7pm. Cash only. Entry: £3 for adults, £1 for children under 16.
North and West Cornwall:
Newquay Fireworks at WAX Gym, Yeoman Way, Tretherras, Newquay (November 2):
Experience a massive fireworks display, live music, street food vendors, an inflatable fun fair, eight bars, and a 40-foot giant screen! Early bird tickets are £3.50 (free for under 12s), with prices increasing closer to the event.
St Ives Fireworks, Porthminster Beach (November 5):
Enjoy a free fireworks display on Porthminster Beach, with donations welcomed to support local causes.
Lappa Valley, Newquay (October 31 and November 1):
Enjoy a fireworks spectacular alongside Lappa Valley's soft play area and rides on the Lakeside Railway. Fireworks start around 7.30pm. Book tickets at: https://lappavalley.vticket.co.uk/product.php/121/fireworks-nights-2024.
