Helston is set to welcome a new business this December, and its owner is no stranger to the town.

Jace Bowden, owner of the popular Kernow Fish LTD on Coinagehall Street, has announced the opening of his second venture - a pop-up steak and fish restaurant on December 1st in the former Cellar Tapas Bar on Wendron Street.

This new venture for Jace comes just 13 months after he announced the new business on Coinagehall Street, which gained a strong customer following, due to it being the only fishmonger in Helston.

For many months, Jace has had the vision to open a pop-up restaurant after locals suggested they would like to see a restaurant with ‘fresh locally sourced produce coming straight to the table.’

Jace has also confirmed that this new business will run alongside Kernow Fish LTD.

He also praised the customers ‘support and loyalty’ since he opened the shop in September 2023.

He said: “We have had so much support since we opened the business last year.

“There have been days when we have had to close the shop as we were sold out within hours of opening.

“Thank you to every single one of our customers, who have come through and continue to come through our doors.”
