The owners of a much-loved cafe in Truro have bid a sad farewell as they prepare to step down from the business.
Charlie and Kate Snell, the current owners of Bread and Butter have shared an emotional post on Facebook announcing that they have now found a buyer for the business.
“This was always going to be a strange post to write as it comes with such mixed emotions mainly pride and excitement, but also tinged with a lot of sadness,” the couple stated in the post.
“We have found a truly wonderful (and the right) buyer for Bread & Butter. Someone who loves the quirkiness of this business as much as we do. Someone with experience who will be a steady pair of hands to take this place onwards.”
The couple also shared praise for the “brilliant teams” and “happy, amazing customers” which they said have given them, “the greatest job satisfaction”.
Now, that the business has been bought by another buyer, Charlie and Kate have shared what their plans are for the future.
The couple shared: “As for our future, we don’t know exactly what’s next, suffice to say we are going to put our feet up for a bit and take our time planning our next hare-brained scheme!
“We are hoping to hand the business over in a couple of weeks so we will hopefully get to see as many of you in person between now and then”
Kate and Charlie said that once the paperwork is signed and sealed, the new owner of Bread and Butter will be introduced.
