The Devon and Cornwall Young Farmers' men's rugby teams are set to face off for the first time.
On Friday, November 1, they will play to win the inaugural Tamar Cup.
The match will take place at Launceston Rugby Club.
The event, which has sold out, is expected to become a highlight in the Young Farmers' calendar.
Both counties have formed rugby teams for the first time, drawing players from across their regions.
The Tamar Cup aims to showcase rugby skills and unite the farming community in support of their teams.
Robin Bennett, captain of the Devon rugby team and Devon YFC Sports and Social Chairman, has high hopes for the event.
He said: "It has been amazing to see so much excitement around this event and see it sell out in only a matter of hours.
"There is obviously a well-known rivalry between Devon and Cornwall and we are sure it will be a tough match, but ultimately this is about bringing the two counties together."
Bennett also expressed pride in forming a Devon YFC rugby team that spans the entire county, from Kingsbridge in the south to Bradworthy in the north.
He believes sport is a key part of YFC as it encourages teamwork and positively impacts mental health.
He said: "Sport within YFC is so important because it’s all about teamwork and it’s great for your mental health too.
"Rugby is so popular amongst young farmers, so I’m proud to be bringing it back to our Devon YFC programme."
Tickets for the event are sold out, but fans can keep up with the score on Friday night via the Devon Young Farmers' social media channels.
