Audiences have a rare opportunity to shape the future of Mars in an award-nominated interactive theatre show.

Upstart Theatre is bringing its innovative live-action storytelling game, Red Planet Revolution, to three local venues in Cornwall next week.

The show will be performed at Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Hayle Academy, and St Michael's Church Hall.

Red Planet Revolution, set in the year 2224, places audiences at the centre of Mars' fight for independence.

In small teams, participants become decision-makers shaping the future of human civilisation on the red planet.

The Spy in the Stalls called it "a unique and exciting experience," while London Theatre Reviews described it as "a perfect example of exciting, divisive theatre today."

Director Tom Mansfield said: "I like to describe Red Planet Revolution as a ‘theatre game,’ because it brings together some of the things I love about theatre with some of the things I love about games.

"The biggest difference between Red Planet Revolution and most other theatre shows is that you, the audience, are the main characters.

"There are two actors in the show.

"Their job is to be storytellers and referees, to guide you through the experience, and to make sure that you feel confident and have fun."

This unique format invites audiences to grapple with power, politics, and the future of human civilisation.

The show will be performed at Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Porthtowan, on November 6 at 7.30pm, Hayle Academy on November 9 at 7.30pm, and St Michael's Church Hall, Newquay, on November 10 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available through the Carn to Cove website, where you can secure your place in the Red Planet Revolution.
