Volunteers have successfully completed the clearance of an overgrown bridleway.

The project saw a team of eight volunteers working on the route at Trevega Wartha, near the Zennor to St Ives road, in collaboration with Adrian Bigg from the British Horse Society.

Mr Bigg provided a tractor equipped with a flail, which helped cut the brush and cleared the path, which volunteers had previously cut by hand.

The initiative, focused on working with farmers in a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), aims to modify farming methods to enhance the countryside for all users, with a particular emphasis on wildlife.

Improving access for walkers, horse riders, and cyclists is a significant part of this endeavour, with the WCFPS actively ensuring footpath preservation remains a priority.

The society also joined public meetings in Zennor and Sancreed to gather feedback on landscape evolution over the next 20 years.

The next WCFPS volunteering day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, with further details available by emailing ROW@wcfps.co.uk
