A local art gallery is set to host a free event with a variety of interactive activities.
The Falmouth Art Gallery Fun Palace will take place on Saturday, November 9, and is open to all ages.
It is part of Fun Palaces 2024, a nationwide campaign celebrating culture within communities.
The art gallery will have several interactive activities, including virtual reality experiences, media screenings, crafts, and workshops.
Visitors will have the chance to partake in life drawing with the Falmouth Life Drawing Society, junk modelling, badge making, and even broadcasting live on Source FM.
Cornwall Film Festival will be giving people the chance to try stop-motion animation and virtual reality, and the Ocean Conservation Trust will be making nutrient balls for seagrass restoration.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Expect a full day of creative workshops, exciting new tech, and plenty of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.
"This year, we’re focusing on showcasing the incredible assets within our local community—people and organisations that everyone should know about.
"It’s all about bringing the community together to celebrate what we have and what we can create together."
The event is part of the annual Fun Palaces Weekend, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
Since 2014, more than 45,000 people have made 2,500 Fun Palaces, with 800,000 people taking part.
Fun Palaces create events that bring together arts, science, craft, tech, digital, heritage, and sports activities.
The spokesperson added: "Each Fun Palace celebrates the unique skills and passions of local people – run by, for, and with the local community.
"Fun Palaces create events that bring together arts, science, craft, tech, digital, heritage and sports activities – but above all people – to work together, create together, have fun together, and in doing so, connect our own communities, from the grassroots up."
