Cornwall's oldest winter livestock show will return next weekend, and this year will celebrate 152 years of tradition and community.

Hundreds of people are expected to attend the Helston Fatstock Show on Saturday, November 9 at Franchis Farm based on the Helston to Redruth Road near Wheal Dream restaurant.

As in previous show years, the committee have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for show day but admits is it the support from exhibitors which makes the show a success.

Alison Grose secretary of Helston Fatstock Show said: "We are eternally grateful to Mr Bob Cowell for his continued support, in allowing us to hold the show at Franchis Farm, the work that goes into an event such as this takes months to prepare.

“We have great entries in all sections of the show, along with a fantastic array of craft stalls to display their quality goods, there is also an auction and raffle, raising money towards the cost of holding the event and also for the President's chosen charity.”

The show remains a very traditional show and has become renowned for being a friendly and welcoming show by exhibitors and visitors to the show.
