A cheque for just over £9,000 has been handed over following another successful Marting Jennings Memorial Motorcycle Run.
More than 1,500 bikers took part in this year’s event, now in its 37th year.
Organiser Dave Saunby and members of the Martin Jennings Marshals Association have now presented a cheque for £9,045.63 to Claire Frost, Cornwall and Devon fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Society – the charity chosen to support in 2024.
All the money raised, through online donations and on the day, will be spent in Cornwall and Devon.

Speaking after this year’s run, Claire said: "We’re extremely grateful for this generous donation, which will help us continue to provide vital support to those living with dementia in Cornwall and their families.
“One in three people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime, and there are currently 11,300 people living with dementia in Cornwall.
“We have eight dementia advisors working across the county and a very popular singing in the Brain Group in Truro.
“Whoever you are, whatever you’re going through, you can turn to Alzheimer’s Society for practical advice, emotional support and guidance."
The run is held annually to honour the memory of Martin Jennings of Beacon, Camborne, who died while competing in the 1987 Isle of Man Manx GP, as well as remember all bikers who have lost their lives on Cornwall’s roads.
