Miniature American horses paid a surprise visit to a Falmouth care home, delighting the residents and staff.
The horses, belonging to a member of the care team, Gail Bastian, provided a festive treat for the residents at Barchester’s Falmouth Court care home, in Dracaena Avenue
Residents and staff were thrilled to learn about the friendly horses, their habits and their favourite foods.
Some residents even had the opportunity to feed the horses with their favourite treats.
General manager Haley Reeve-Larson said: "We had the best time with the horses, they are such gorgeous creatures.
"Our residents loved spending time with them, I do hope they come back to visit us soon."
The visit from the horses was part of the home's varied life enrichment programme, which aims to keep residents active and engaged.
The programme offers a daily selection of physical, mental and spiritual activities, all tailored to the interests and capabilities of the residents.
Falmouth Court is managed by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK's largest care providers, dedicated to providing high-quality care in its homes and hospitals.
The home offers residential care, dementia care, and respite care.
