A hot air balloon and music festival is set to take place in Cornwall.

The event, called Balloons & Tunes, will be held at Penhale, Fraddon, from July 4 to July 6 and offers a full weekend of entertainment for the whole family.

The festival will feature live music, hot air balloon displays, stunt shows and a range of activities for children.

A spokesperson for the festival said: "This event is a great opportunity for the local community to let their hair down and enjoy a fantastic day out, we have an incredibly professional setup in place."

The organisers have arranged for tribute acts to perform throughout the weekend, offering a taste of some of the greatest hits from popular artists.

Sky Safari Night Glow, where the balloons are illuminated at night, and Mass Ascent, where all the balloons take off, are also planned.

The festival will also feature giant cartoon mascots Bluey and Bingo, who are set to delight the younger attendees.

Monster truck enthusiasts will not be disappointed, as the festival will feature giant monster truck shows and monster truck rides on Sunday.

Parking is available at the site on a first-come, first-served basis and must be pre-booked at £6 per car.

However, the organisers have warned that hot air balloons can only fly in calm conditions.

These include winds under 10 mph, no rain, clear visibility and no thunderstorms.

Safety is a priority, and flights may be cancelled if conditions aren't perfect.
