A Falmouth-based electronics producer has been named SME of the Year.
Sellectronics was given the title at the Make UK awards for the South of England.
The firm was recognised for its growth and commitment to the environment.
The company, which counts Airbus as a customer, has seen its turnover double twice since 2020, reaching £5 million per year.
Following a restructure, Sellectronics has invested in its workforce by paying the 'real' Living Wage, which is higher than the National Living Wage.
The firm has also hired 10 new staff members in the last year and taken on its first apprentice.
Sellectronics has also committed to becoming a Carbon Net Zero business by 2035, with steps already taken including installing an electric car charging point and a cycle-to-work scheme.
Kerri-Anne Mruk, region director for the South of England at Make UK, said: "These awards are a testament to the dynamic companies and individuals working within engineering and manufacturing.
"The sector remains at the heart of creating wealth in the South West and, as we grow our economy, there will be a bright future for companies and individuals that make the most of their talent."
The awards, organised by Make UK, the manufacturers’ organisation representing industry across the UK, were held at the Old Thorns Hotel in Liphook, Hampshire to recognise the achievements of companies from across the South of England.
The winners will now go on to the National Finals which will be held in London in January next year.
