A holiday letting agency in Cornwall has donated £400 to help cover the cost of a charity's storage warehouse.

Aspects Holidays, a Cornish agency, has lent its support to local charity Hidden Help, which collects, restores, and redistributes used furnishings and household goods to people in urgent need.

Hidden Help receives daily referrals from social services and other statutory bodies.

It quickly furnishes homes and provides goods for those in crisis, free of charge.

The charity helps individuals and families fleeing domestic abuse, war veterans, the homeless, elderly and vulnerable adults, refugees, and people being re-housed.

Most of these people have been provided with a sparse flat without even a bed to sleep on.

After learning about the charity's work, Aspects Holidays decided to contribute to their fundraising efforts.

The charity's services are in high demand, leading Hidden Help to rent two additional warehouses for storage, significantly increasing their monthly costs.

Aspects Holidays' donation of £400 will cover the cost of one of these warehouses for a month.

In return, they got to name the warehouse, which they named 'Hayley' after their office in Hayle.

Trustee Merisa MacInnes expressed her gratitude, saying: "Thank you for the kind donation, it all makes a difference to help us help those in need.

"We look forward to an ongoing partnership."

Gemma Taylor, chair of the charity council at Aspects Holidays, added: "We are delighted to be supporting Hidden Help and the incredibly vital work they do across the county.

"We hope 'Hayley' will house plenty of donations for those in need in future and we are looking at ways we can help Judy and her team further."

To further fund their growing costs, Hidden Help has a vintage charity shop on site, open on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The shop is run by volunteers and helps bring in much-needed funds to keep the charity going.

Hidden Help not only supports people in need but also has a significant impact on the environment, saving thousands of items from going to landfill by giving them a much-appreciated second life.
