St Michael's Resort in Falmouth enjoyed a triumphant weekend hosting the relocated Falmouth Oyster Festival. 

The festival, almost cancelled due to rising post-pandemic costs, found a new home at the resort after previous organisers withdrew.

Hundreds of people descended on the resort over the three-day weekend, to enjoy food demonstrations from renowned Cornish chefs, as well as numerous musical performances from several musical groups across Cornwall.

“It has been a fantastic weekend full of delicious-looking food demos from renowned Cornish chefs, as well as numerous fun musical performances from the likes of Will Keating, Culdrose Military Wives Choir, and local legends, The Oggymen.”

Devoted to the mighty mollusc, the festival highlights the traditional methods of harvesting, using only sail and oar, and champions the native Fal oyster.
