A man has been charged in connection to a serious assault which happened in Cornwall on Thursday.
On Thursday, November 21 officers were called at midnight to an estate in Camborne, following a report that a man had been seriously assaulted with a weapon.
On Sunday evening (November 24), the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) authorised a charge of Section 18 causing grievous bodily harm without intent.
Jason ‘Jay’ Simmons, aged 56, of Penegon Way, has been remanded in custody and will appear at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, November 25.
