A man in his 30s has been arrested following an incident at a property in Cornwall on Friday.
As hundreds in Camborne celebrated the town's Christmas Lights switch-on event, police were called to Basset Street at around 6.15pm on Friday, November 29 following reports of a firearm being pointed at a man at a property.
Armed officers attended the scene, and a local man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Police revealed that a BB gun was seized at the time.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Basset Street, Camborne, at around 6.15pm on Friday, November 29 following reports of a firearm being pointed at a man at a property.
“Armed officers attended and a local man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
“The arrested man has since been released with no further police action to follow.”
