A cold and hungry shoplifter has pleaded guilty to stealing a woolly hat, a disposable barbecue and a TGI Friday’s cheese pizza from shops in Falmouth.
Ari Norman, aged 21, of The Beacon, Falmouth appeared at Truro Magistrates’ Court on November 28 for sentencing after pleading guilty to three charges of theft from a shop.
Norman admitted entering Ann’s Cottage Surf Shop on Church Street, Falmouth on September 25 this year and stealing a woolly hat worth £26.99.
On August 30 they went into the Co-op on Cliff Road at the base of the Liner Building and stole two disposable BBQ’s worth £6 belonging to the store.
Then on October 24 this year they went into the Iceland Supermarket in Berkeley Vale and stole a TGI Friday’s cheese Pizza worth £3 belonging to Iceland supermarket.

Norman was given a one-year community order ending on November 27 next year with the condition that they completed ten days of supervised rehabilitation activity.
They were also ordered to repay the price of each stolen item to the stores they had stolen them from. £26.99 to Ann’s Cottage; £6 to the Co-op and £3 to Iceland.
Norman’s guilty pleas was taken into account by the magistrates.
There was no order for costs as compensation took priority but there was a surcharge of £78.01.
