My afternoon off and where have I been? Yes, the gym!! Spent one and a half hours running, cycling, rowing and lifting weights. Most enjoyable was the 15 minutes i spent using the gym ball - apparently it is supposed to be great for abdomen muscles and helps to tighten and flatten the stomach - a common problem area for a lot of women. It is very odd - talking to a few other "nutters" who are also spending their precious free time at the gym - I seem to be the only one that actually enjoys going! It gives me a real buzz. Not really sure how the training is going for the race, i'm not really timing myself on the treadmill - i think the atmosphere on the day spurs you on. It is hard to get the same feeling on a boring treadmill. Really need to get outside and run the circuit, but not today it's been gale force winds...
