One of the most successful gardens in the county open to the public has adapted its marketing this year to cater not only for families but also for the serious horticulturist.
Trebah Garden on the banks of the Helford near Falmouth has long been a favourite with young and old for some years but with a new branding for 2009 it is hoped people will find other ways of looking at the garden.
One brochure issued for the year for families explains the attraction of the 26 acre garden for everyone and the numerous facilities offered for Trebah, not least the wildlife trails and jungle walks.
Another brochure explains the former home of Sir Donald Healey of sports car fame and later owned and transformed by Tony Hibbert and his wife, as a garden for all seasons. It encourages those interested in plants and gardens just what Trebah has to offer among its 5,000 plants from all over the world.
Ten reasons why to visit Trebah are graphically displayed including a picture of the man who started it all in 1838 Charles Fox.
Trebah Garden which has won a number of awards, not least one for its café last year from Cornwall Tourism is open all year round but it much admired in the early spring by plant lovers from across the world.
