Staff in one part of Truro’s Royal Cornwall Hospital were left eating cold lunches yesterday following a small fire in a microwave.
One crew from Truro fire station were automatically called to the Knowledge Spa at Treliske when a fire alarm was set off by a fire in the oven just after 1.40pm.
When they arrived the fire fighters found that the fire had already been put out, so they inspected the equipment to make sure that it was left safe.
